Lake management in Tennessee
Managing a larger private lake in Tennessee takes more than occasional advice. We survey the fish, write the plan and do the work, from stocking to dredging, so the lake keeps improving instead of slipping back.

1On Tennessee water
Tennessee lakes from west Tennessee to the Plateau
Tennessee water ranges from west Tennessee ponds to a Cumberland Plateau lake at 2,000 feet that produced an 11.5‑pound bass. A plan that works on one can fail on another, which is why every plan starts with an electrofishing survey and water tests.
The results on Tennessee water are the record book: a 56‑acre middle Tennessee lake where the biggest bass had been six pounds gave up thirteen bass from four to nine pounds in two half days three years later, and two 12‑acre ponds in west Tennessee produced an 8.25, a 7.5, two 6s and a 5 in one afternoon fourteen months into management.
The plan can draw on surveys, stocking from our farm, weed control, liming by barge, aeration and dredging with our own excavators.

Questions
Lake management in Tennessee: questions

Should I stock Florida bass in a Tennessee lake?
We raise pure Florida bass in middle Tennessee, adapted to Tennessee winters, and several of our Tennessee case studies used them. Whether they fit your lake depends on what is already there, which is what the survey tells us. Our east Tennessee field note.
Do you manage lakes around Nashville and Franklin?
Yes. We serve all of Tennessee from Hohenwald, and several of our blog articles deal with lakes around Nashville and Franklin.
