56-acre lake in middle Tennessee; biggest bass pre-Trophy Pond, six pounds. Three years later, two anglers, in two half- days of fishing, caught thirteen largemouth between four and nine pounds, including six over seven pounds each.

Two 12-acre ponds in west Tennessee; one 9.5-pound largemouth prior to Trophy Pond but mostly small bass. Fourteen months into Trophy Pond’s management, the owner caught an 8.25-pound, a 7.5-pound, two 6-pound, and a 5-pound largemouth from these two ponds in one afternoon of fishing.

1.1-acre pond in middle Tennessee; biggest bluegill in our initial survey in 2014 measured 9”; biggest largemouth was 15”. From March through August 2018, a 6 lb. 4 oz., a 6 lb. 14 oz., a 7 lb. 4 oz., and a 7 lb. 13 oz. largemouth were caught from the pond, along with a 2 lb. 1 oz. and a 2 lb. 2 oz. bluegill. From February through August 2019, a 9 lb. 2 oz. and a 10 lb. largemouth were caught from the pond, along with a 2 lb. 14 oz. bluegill.

60-acre lake in Indianapolis, Indiana; only two largemouth over 14” captured in our initial electrofishing survey in June 2015. One year later, in June 2016, we captured 22 largemouth over 14” electrofishing. Trophy Pond stocked pure Florida bass into this lake in July 2018; muskie were stocked later that year on our recommendation. Bass over six pounds have now become common in this lake, with anglers often catching multiple bass this size in a single outing. In March 2024, one angler caught a 6-9, a 6-7, and “a bunch” of 5-pound bass in one afternoon; that same angler caught a bass just under eight pounds in April 2025.

In 2016 Trophy Pond began working with a 22-acre lake in northern Georgia. Our initial electrofishing survey of the lake yielded zero largemouth over eleven inches; we were concerned about the genetics of the bass because the lake had been stocked several years prior with F1s. We recommended stocking pure Florida largemouth, and shortly thereafter the owner stocked adult Floridas. Two years later, a thirteen-pound largemouth was caught from the lake.

In 2016, Trophy Pond began working with an 0.75-acre pond in middle Tennessee with a specialized management plan tailored toward maximizing trophy bluegill production in a smaller pond. In May 2018, a husband and wife from Michigan fished the pond through our guide service for three hours; only six bluegill were caught, but five of them weighed between 1.72 and 1.94 pounds each.

7-acre pond in west Tennessee. Trophy Pond stocked this pond as a new pond in March 2016 with coppernose bluegill, fathead minnows, and redear. In October 2016 pure Florida largemouth were stocked. In May 2017 the owner caught a nine-inch coppernose; a month later he caught a ten-inch coppernose. In March 2018, the owner caught a 10.75” coppernose. In August 2019, a coppernose estimated at between 2.5 and 3 lbs. was caught.

Four-acre pond in northern middle Tennessee. Trophy Pond stocked this pond as a new pond in spring 2017 with coppernose bluegill, fathead minnows, golden shiners, and crayfish. In July 2018, 80 one- to two-pound pure Florida bass were stocked; in November 2019 200 6-8” pure Florida bass were stocked. All of the bass pictured below were caught between the first week of March and the last week of May 2022.

Two-acre pond in central Alabama. Trophy Pond stocked this pond as a new pond the last week of April 2020 with coppernose bluegill and fathead minnows. In November 2020, pure Florida bass were stocked. The first week of November 2021, the landowner caught a one-pound-ten-ounce coppernose. This pond is on track to grow a new world-record bluegill.
